ComTec follows a five-phased consulting methodology to achieve Business
Intelligence. We extensively document each phase of this approach in a project
repository:
Phase One: Analysis and Design
The commencement of the analysis and design phase involves the generation of
inputs such as the client profile. Key business drivers are reviewed in order to
establish a common understanding of business objectives and constraints. The
prioritization of objectives is determined and metadata is captured.
Blueprint (Definitions and Planning)
Within the project, the jobs that are to be accomplished are scoped and required
innovations assessed. At this stage ComTec's experts outline the tools that will be
utilized to accelerate client's data project.
Planning involves creating a clear blueprint for realizing the target solution,
options and resulting tradeoffs. Planning is an intricate process that includes
development of the:
- project plan
- approach
- scope
- prioritized deliverables
- resource plan
- risk management plan
- change management plan
- collaboration plan
- assumptions
- cost/benefit analysis
ComTec leads client in the development of the strategic and tactical plans which
lay out how the project will be accomplished and deployed.
Phase Two: Development
During the development phase, ComTec's experts meticulously create and test the
product as defined by the requirements documentation that was drafted during the
Planning phase.
Phase Three: Pre-Production (Testing)
This is one of the most important stages in the roll-out of client's initiative. Quality
assurance is dictated by our commitment to pre-production process such as:
- SIT cycle (System Integration Testing)
- UAT cycle (User Acceptance Testing)
- Performance Tuning
- Training
Phase Four: Production (Deployment)
During the deployment phase ComTec's experts perform the necessary tasks to
get the product into the hands of the users. Tasks completed during this phase can
include installation, training, client support and help desk activities.
Phase Five: Post-Production
(Support, Administration, Customer Assurance
and Change Management)
Once the product has been deployed, ComTec's commitment to its successful
implementation becomes more apparent than ever. Our experts monitor and assess
the delivery in the post-production period through knowledge transfer, production
support and a warranty period.
