Vulnerability and Threat Analysis:
- Work with management to determine their tolerance of risk and their
sensitivity to the failure of key systems.
- Understand the nature of the potential threats to the system, including
natural disasters, failure of external systems such as communications links, or
man-made situations, such as war or terrorism.
- Build a picture of the current IT system, with particularly emphasis on those
elements that are most critical to the operation of the business, and which are
potentially most at risk in the case of an adverse event.
Continuity Planning
- Prepare a plan so that company can better prepare itself for a range of
eventualities, including changes to key processes (e.g., offsite data backup),
infrastructure (e.g., , and customer and employee support (e.g., alternate
facilities)
- Present a range of options for better equipping the company to cope with an
emergency situation, based on their estimated cost and their potential to

- Assist in the implementation of the plan, including the creation of a project
management office (PMO) and helping the organization integrate new
processes, roles, and responsibilities
- Advise the client on the selection of vendors for hardware, software, and
services required to support the business continuity plan.
